Comment posted First Aid…..? by Nag-iini.

Tell your parents to take you to an emergency room at the nearest hospital. It might be serious.

  • Yes you should definitely go to the er. It will probably need stitches but there’s a possibility that it will only need some butterfly bandages. Go get it checked. Don’t take any chances.

  • Get off Yahoo, the Internet and seek a doctor. Do you want to keep bleeding? What ever is cut, wrap it tight and get out of there. Get a neighbor to help. Now!

  • Can You Be Suide Or Charged For Using First Aid?
no you can not be sued if you are rendering aid to someone that is injured (the burning car). there is a law called the good samaritan law that in laymans terms says if you render aid to someone and that person can not sue you for aiding them. good luck
  • Can You Be Suide Or Charged For Using First Aid?
if you are First Aid certified you can’t be sued. There’s something called a Good Samartian Law that protects people, the important thing to remember is not to anything you’re not qualified to do and if the person is conscieous ask if you can help them first.
  • Can You Be Suide Or Charged For Using First Aid?
There are many laws protecting a bystander giving first aid. If there are no trained professionals around, and they won’t get there in time, then yes by all means save the person. I would rather not be able to walk than die. If you want a better answer, I suggest talking to an ambulance administrator. I think if someone tried to sue you in this case, the judge would probably throw it out. Be sure to ask about a good samaritan law
  • Can You Be Suide Or Charged For Using First Aid?
People can (and will!) sue for just about any excuse- including some that are flat-out stupid.
But yes, there is a good-Samaritan law out there to help protect against that particular kind of litigation.
  • Can You Be Suide Or Charged For Using First Aid?
Yes, you can be sued for providing aid to a person that winds up injured because of your good efforts if you weren’t properly trained.
There are good samaritan laws to protect people who are only trying to help, but you have to read them. Sometimes in some instances they only protect First response physicians and emergency crews, and not the everyman.

tell an adult near you to look at it,
if no adult is avalible, clean the wound with water and light soap, anti bacterial if avalible,
if you can see “meat” when you wash the blood off then you need to go to an emergency room asap, if anything is stuck in there like clothing or dirt it can get infected and that can make things alot worse. use bactine, or idodine, or something that kills germs for now, even rubbing alcohol, it will but but could end up saving your leg,
chances are you might get a butterfly bandade, or a few stiches

I’m not buying it. I mean how are you typing spurting blood all over the keyboard

Sounds like you need stitches. Get a towel and, keep pressure on the wound. If you have butterfly closures, close up your wound until you can get to the hospital. Also keep ice on it to constrict the blood vessels.

Put a clean towel or cloth on it and press down, not too hard, but hard enough to stop it from bleeding while you get yourself to the emergency room. They may or may not stitch it up depending on a number of things. They try not to if they don’t have to. They certainly will clean it up properly so it doesn’t get infected and may only use some type of bandaging. You will want to get a tetnus shot, too. Don’t be afraid of a tetnus shot, it is much better than what can happen without one.
Try to keep the place where you are cut elevated. If on your arm, then hold it up. Don’t let it drop down. Head cuts bleed like crazy, so don’t let that freak you out. Tell the doctor what you cut yourself on, too. They may need your parent’s permission, so get ahold of them.

10 cm’s ??? Wow, that is a fairly bad cut. If this isn’t a hoax and you haven’t passed out from shock or blood loss…yes, you will need stitches.

10cms? I think that is about 4 inches. Get your butt to a doctor. Good luck.
