How Can I Get Car Insurance In Denmark Without A Cpr Number?
My husband and I have just moved to Denmark, he has got a job offer, but doesn’t start until March.
We have gone the the register office to get a CPR number, but she said it will take a long time.
We need a car, and have found one that we can afford. how do we go about insuring it?

You can’t.
Do you have a stay permit? It shouldn’t take very long to get a CPR-number, once you have a stay permit. It sounds very strange. Where you told why it would take a long time?
If you have your stay permit usually you should get your CPR-number within 14 days. My husband got his immediately when he went to the kommune with his stay permit. It took all of 5 minutes. The actual card will come later, but as long as you have the number you can simply use this.
