- If using the blood pressure monitor for the first time, better take the reading on both right and the left arm. Choose the arm for future readings which gives you the higher results.
- If the difference between the readings of the two arms is greater than 10mmHg diastolic (lower number) or 20mmHg systolic (higher number), better discuss with the doctor about the readings.
