Before the disaster, you should have had a good first aid class, because it’s not something you can learn fast enough to be useful afterwards.
It’s too complex to explain here: what kind of injuries, and how many injured people are you talking about?
Where is the disaster, and what was it? What are my resources?
If you aren’t trained, you can do more harm than good, so just do what you are told to by the people with the training. We will be the ones giving orders in loud voices

In a natural disaster scenario (a cyclone, perhaps) you would use triage to treat as many people as you can. In most natural disasters, you would probably encounter cuts & bruises, fractures, and maybe burns. So make sure your first aid kit is stocked with antiseptic and sterile dressings. Survival gear like a flashlight, water, and a battery powered radio would also help.
