do you need it done thru American Heart Assoc or other? ask your manager for advice. the community college, Am Red Cross, ambulance service, fire department, etc will have classes but not necessarily on your schedule.

google the american red cross and
the american heart association
Those are two agencies that certify people in CPR
you also might want to go check some of the bulletin boards at your local hospitals and clinics which will have that information
Also the local EMS agency
Try Toronto EMS or Fire Department in google search
Google does amazing things

I’ve used several online courses and most seem ok.
I’ve had no problems with my employer accepting the online CPR certificate.
I used http://www.NationalCPRCertification.com they state they have been internationally accredit.
There are other online CPR classes but this is the one I used.

Because we are in Canada, we have to follow the Canadian standards and stick with our own organizations… so the American Red Cross probably won’t work.
If you know ANY lifeguards with their Lifesaving Society Instructor certification, they can teach you this course in a couple of hours… if that. Basic First Aid and CPR-A is the most basic first aid course offered. You should also be able to go to your local pool or recreation centre and ask for a course.
If you are looking for other courses or more advanced first aid courses, check out “Take a Course” on the Lifesaving Society’s website (www.lifesavingsociety.com) to see what is available.
In the Toronto area, I can almost guarantee that first aid courses (of most levels) are being run at least weekly.

You can learn CPR and First Aid in four hours with the course called “Family and Friends”. If U need to learn about Automatic External Defibrillators (AED), your should take the “Heartsaver / AED / First Aid” course (5.5 hours).
Both curses are.given by the American Heart Association Authorized Course Providers.

AHA courses may not be the cheapest, but they are the best. With AHA courses you can obtain a two year certification card recognized worldwide.
